Hi
Iknow that i am a neewbe BUT i tried to follow the guide how to put a sub on a video (swat) i did everything that the guide said by using VirtualDub, VirtualDub Subtitler Filter, SRT to SSA and Tmpgenc. but when i try to open it in Tmpgenc. it says " Illegal stream format " So please if you can help !! what am i doing wrong ??

I just tried "Add permanent subtitles to S/VCD,DVD,AVI with ffdshow/vobsub"
And now the subs where there BUT the sounds where GONE ???????
What is going on ??????

You need to be more specific about what exactly your doing. What is your step by step process, what software are you using.

... and specifically your source material. As for your "no sound" problem, I guess the source audio is in a format TMPGEnc(?) can't understand.

Then you have done the hardest work. Keep the movie with no sound, with sub in it. Extract the sound from avi ore whatever your sourse is. Convert it to ac3. Then author the dvd with the ac3 sound.
