  1. I am in the process of trying to make a dvd for my girlfriend.
I am using Dazzle DVD Complete V2.02.
Its the first time I've made a dvd with this program and I cant for the life of me find any help on their websites.
The thing is, when I attempt to build a dvd it gives an error message and tells me to check dvdcomplete.log.
The message in that is the followoing:

    ---------- Preprocess DC8 ------

    PreprocessDC8: Prepare VIDEO_TS Directory....
    PreprocessDC8: Removing existing files...
ERROR: PreprocessDC8: Unexpected target directory. For safety, did not delete files!
    PreprocessDC8:
    VIDEO_TS FULL PREPROCESS FAILED

    PreprocessDC8: 1 Errors, 0 Warnings

    CDVDCre8Doc: Failed with 0
    CDCLRenderer: Render

Anyone know what it means, what it is, what i'm doing wrong
    Thanks

    IGGY

  2. iggy -

the error msg seems to indicate an unrecognized folder for creating the burn files.

using the tools menu, verify that the designated working folders are correct/current. That may halp, dunno.

as to website support, bad news. When Pinnacle bought out Dazzle last fall, DVD Complete was not picked up by Pinnacle, so no ongoing support.

dvdcre8, the developers of DVDC, has since revived the app thru 321 studios under the name af DVD X Maker. If you have the full retail version of DVDC, you can contact 321 and see if they will provide you a free copy of the revamped app.

  3. I think I know what is causing that. The program is not compatible with your DVD burner. I downloaded an update for DVD Complete a few months that fixed the problem for me. The update may not be available anymore. I don't know. As a work around I had the program to simply create a "Disk Image File", then burned that image file with my burning software.

The image file will be saved to "\Dazle Content\DVD-Image" folder if your are using the default settings in the program.

Your burning software should open this image file ok.

    Good luck.
