Just started using Linux last night. I am running Mandrake 9.2 with Gnome.
I noticed that the audio was very quiet, but this was sorted using gnome-volume-control. However, unlike in the documentation, there is no option for remembering the level settings for the next startup. So, guess what? When I restart, back to quiet audio!
Does anyone know how to cure this problem?
Apart from that, Linux rocks!
Thanks,
Cobra
