When I try to backup the movie Old School I get stuttering that starts after the first few chapters. This is in my RCA DRC230N Stand alone player. But the disk works fine in my PC using Power DVD. I've made 3 bad disks so far. I used DVD Decrypter then DVDShrink to reauthur and burned with Nero 6 in DVD Video format.

This procedure has worked perfect with all other DVD's I've backed up in the past. This is the first problem I've had with this. There were no read errors in DVD Decrypter either.

Has anyone else had problems backing up this movie? Or does anyone have any suggestions?

I do think I'm gonna pick up a DVD-RW for testing for now on so I don't make any coasters anymore.

There RITEKG04's. I got them from newegg. And I've backed up around 5 or 6 DVD's so far out of this batch and all were fine. I'm backing up another movie right now so I'll see how this one turns out.

The movie I just backed up was "My Boss's Daughter". And it came out perfect. So I don't think it's the media. Any other ideas?

I did old school -> decrypter, IC7, pdi2iso, decrypter burnt on RitekG04 media and it's perfect.

Your problem does sound media related...

i had a problem with this movie on Sandy Yang media - I just got 2 test disc of RitekG04 media and 1 worked fine - the other I think was messed up to begin with because it had a purple smear, but i didnt notice till after i burned - so i'll have to buy more - My problem was my movies were starting to freeze at the end and the pixels would become big squares and stuff. i am using a pioneeer 105 burner - I think its a media problem -

You guys are probobly right. Must be something with the way disk takes the files in this particular movie. I'll have to try some different media for this movie then.
It's weird how some movies will work fine on certain media and others wont.
