I'm trying to set up a webcam chat between myself and a friend, both of us using Logitech webcams and both of us using ADSL internet connections.
MSN Messenger and Yahoo video chat functions are really slow at about 4fps and AOL Instant Messenger doesn't like our Norton firewalls.
So, can anyone recommend some good (free?) webchat software that allows good fps?

could be your webcam, I used and older webcam my sister had and it stunk, resolution 352x288 I purchased a new webcam for myself with the resolution at 640x480 and have had no problems using it with Microsoft's instant messager or AOL IM.

Don't think so. It's a Logitech Quick Messenger - captures at 30fps at 640x480 without any problem at all. It's only when I try and video chat that things go pear shaped.
