no warez please -- this includes what you are asking in the context of your own words ... plus this is not really the forum for such stuff ...

next time -- a warning will be issued

    Thankyou for your cooperation -bj_m

  2. Is the game a DVD?

You can always back up PS2 games using DVDDecrypter in the ISO mode

  3. I have tried DVD decrypter but when running the disc into the playstation it says that the disc is incorrect format and will not play- I have also been told by a mate that PS2 games cannot be copied as the PS2 needs some kind of Chip- is this correct or can you copy PS" games with no probs.Cheers

You're asking in the wrong place.

    1) What you want to do is illegal
    2) You know absolutely nothing about what it will take to play a ps2 backup
    3) Buy the freaking game and quit being so cheap. If you like the game so much, why not support its creators?

  5. http://www.ps2ownz.com/

good source for playing ps2 backups information.

you need some kind of modchip solution, or a swap disc + slide card or something like that. a simple google search will yield tons of results.

  6. That, Sir...Really gets under my skin "alenhard"!

People have a Right to attempt to backup a bought disk, my Son has a bad...Bad habit of throwing the disks around on his XBOX games. Thus to save having to BUY the same DANG disk again...I will try to back it up, got a problem with that?

Get really tired of those people who just don't get it and JUMP to an unnessary conclusion. The very same people who don't understand the problems......

Hey, you -These games are not cheap, well maybe PS2'a are, I don't know!

With a small amount of credit, where credit is due......TWO game plays from one disk -Is illegal.. So if this is for the purpose of avoiding buying the DVD, alenhrad is quite right!

Just get tired of seeing a knee-jerk reaction to backups.

    Cheers

  7. Obviously a mod chip was needed please people read into things before assuming you can backup anything

Games require the boot file of a disc as with PS1 PS2 Dreamcast and so on you cannot copy this as with the dreamcast you required (in the early days) a boot disc (utopia v1.1) this is what the mod chip does on the playstation(s)

In some ways is this illegal but in other ways you do have the original!

Knee-jerk reaction? You're one to talk!

I read the original post just fine. What he wanted to do was clearly wrong. He wasn't making a backup. He was copying it illegally so he could play it on two machines simultaneously. Please re-read the original post and you'll see I am completely justified in my reaction. A backup is one thing (in case your kid breaks it), but a copy for your brother so you can play head-to-head on two different machines at the same time is NOT OKAY.

If you think this is somehow within the scope of what is legal, then a reality check is necessary. By the way, if you call me out, expect to back it up. I'm not trying to be a jerk, but its stupid to allow such blatant misinformation to be construed as being accurate.

    @ Flukesy:
In NO way is what he wants to do legal. PERIOD. No matter if he has the original.

  10. Sorry guys im not completely up with the legality in this case if im wrong i apologise alenhard
