  1. Hello All,

I've just converted an Xvid to DVD using TMPGEnc 2.5 plus and the video is a little jerky. The quality/pixelation is fine and there are no blocky pictures just a little jerky. Its like the frame rate is not constant or something? but all the settings were correct in TMPGEnc as I have used the wizard and converted previous files fine?

The correct Codec was installed for the file........any ideas anyone?

hey, u probably got the field order backwards, go back to the wizard and where u see the field order change it from what u had it on last time, that might fix ur problem

    hope this helps, josh

Picture will get jerky also if you encode pal to ntsc or ntsc to pal and 23.976 to 29.97 without proper conversion.

Experiment with widescreen output settings (use 16x9) in the encoder (whatever you use). Covert short clips (1 min) and check the results. It will take 10 min. to go through all output modes. Then pick the right one.
