  1. I turned on my PC...and it opend IE without me doing anything and went straight to some porn site. Anyway, I turned it off...and as soon as I did that, any other app I tried starting, it just wouldnt...it just stays there and does nothing. I don't know whats happening. When I restart in safe mode, I am fine, thats how I can post right now, and use any app...but if I restart again in normal mode, I can't open any app, or folder, it just stays there as if I didn't do anything. Anyway, does anybody have a clue why this is happening!?

  3. Yep, it is certianly a virus of some kind of really nasty spyware.

If you have a virus checker, run a scan in safe mode like mujahid7ia said. Hopefully that will work.

If it does not, or you don't have an anti-virus program, what I suggest is to boot into normal mode and write down the URL and name of the porn site. Then reboot into safe mode. Go to a major anti-virus company like symantec or Mcafee and search their virus database for that porn site. In all liklyhood they will know the specific virus and how to remove it manually.

And if you have to do that because you don't have an anti-virus program, then you need to either download one immediatly or get out of your chair and drive to a computer store now to buy one. My scanner has saved me from 3 viruses so far.

I recommend the free AVG from http://www.grisoft.com
Not a RAM hog, IMO just as good as NAV or McAfee.

  5. Best solution.

    STOP LOOKING AT PORN

Just run a spyware scanner like "AD-AWARE" :P

    That will fix it.

  6. Well, stop looking at porn is not an option...who could ever STOP when it's right at your finger tips. Anyway, I used an online scanner and I had 21 viruses on my PC. Went out an bought myself Norton anti-virus. Hope that'll keep me safe. In the end though...I formatted my hardrive and started from scratch. Havent done that for a while..but thanks for the help everyone
