I have a DVI video output on my video card and DVI inputs in my TV and Monitor. I want to get a Y Splitter so I can view my computer on both. I am getting tired of plugging and unplugging. I found a Y cable, but it's $49.00. It may be my only solution, but I wanted to make sure it was going to work ok. Anyone know anything about this?

it should work - except the pc will not reconize the attached monitor correctly .. some cards are designed from the start to do this (matrox) , i dont know about others (maybe the same thing) ..
DVI-D that is (which is what the picture shows (accually DVI-I) , DVI analog only may have more of a problem -- but i know people who split the analog signal (DVI or D-sub Mini 15) to two monitors with out a correct distro. amp ... not really a good idea ."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650)
