  1. fairly new to this, just using TMPGEnc to encode on standard pal settings.
    some of the mpeg files, guess in both mpeg1 & mpeg2, have some bad sections in the movie, that look like some kind of glitch when being played. but when encoding the stop the film at that frame and the rest of the movie just shows that frame.
    Any good tools to fix this ?
    i want compliant DVD's not vcd-dvd or svcd-dvd

    Don't guess ! Find out what the files are using GSpot or AVICodec these programmes will tell you exactly what the file is that you are trying to convert. are they Mpegs or AVIs. Try and find out what they are.
