Hi there,
Oke i have a question concerning authoring an original dvd to ad subtitles.
I did this because the only version of this dvd with DTS audio is without any subtitles! So i searched the net for subtitles and synced them with subtitle workshop and used srt2sup to make the usable for ifoedit. Then in riped the original dvd with dvd decryptor in stream prosesing mode and then ended up with 2 files one video and one DTS audio file. I loaded all the files in ifoedit set audio delay 66 and waited for a wile.
After that i had to set subtitle colours manualy in ifoedit and found out that the play time of the movie changed. Original playtime is approximately 1:38 but after authoring it was approximately 1:18. I thought this could not be good. But i tried playing in windvd and it played fine only thing was the sub wasn't in sync. The last subline was 4 second late.
So i did the whole thing again and extended the sub 4 seconds. But again playtime was to short and subs were stile out of sync but now it was reduced to a second. So i did the whole proces again and set subs to 6 sec and when authored subs were perfectly in sync but playtime was still approximately 1:18.
Then i thought what the hell lets burn and see what it does in a real dvdplayer. NOTHING!! It doesn't plat at all i only see 00:00:00 in the display. I tried this on tree dvdplayers all told the same and one also displayed "DATA ERROR" on the TV.
Now i wonder what it is i did wrong. I was hopen that one of you could help me figure out what it is and come up with a solution.
