  1. I have 11 episodic clips which I've converted to standard VCD format with TMPGenc. Each resulting MPEG file plays normally with no audio sync issues. I then author them with TMPGenc DVD Author as DVD @ 352x240, no problem. When I play the disc (or vob files) on my computer, all the clips play fine, but when I play the DVD on my set top the last clip has audio sync issues.

I've gone nuts trying to figure this out, I've scanned the original divx's and xvid's for errors, saved audio streams as PCM, rechecked each file so that it is exactly the same as all the others but nada, nothing. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Also, if anyone knows: Is it better to burn DVD's with Tmpgenc's built in DVD writing tool or burn the Video_TS folder with Nero?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

  2. All I can think of is: Tmpgenc VCD template samples audio at 44,100k, but DVD compliant files is 48k, so Author must resample the audio. . .

I would suspect a problem in the original file and start testing there myself. Does the original file play correctly in VirtualDub or is it outosync? That would be my first test.

    Good luck.
