  1. I'm using Sony DVD Architech 1.0 to cerate a DVD for our church. The file size is 5.3 GB. My DVD's will hold 4.7GB. Is there any way to get the file to fit. Open to suggestions.

You can reduce the file size by lowering the bit rate. Use the BitCalc program in the Tools section at left to discern how much it should be lowered.

  4. All you have to do is to play with the bitrate, no need for any program to split this into 2 dvd's....the difference is way to small to do this.
    Have fun...

Two schools of thought on this. You can either shrink it to fit with something like DVD Shrink or you can do it the right way and just encode it with the proper bit rate. Me personally I don't believe in or recommend the shrinking technique. I'm a believer in doing it right.

  6. Author what you have, but before burning, run it through DVDShrink, then burn the DVD.
