  1. trying to make svcd of mpeg-file but there is some problem with the audio i think??...canīt open i virtualdob mp3 frezze(pack synchronization error)....in vcdeasy it says (bad packet at packet # 207997)...and i need to autopadding.
    i can open the file in virtualdobmod but can i fix bad frames there?? how?
    anyone with any tip are welcome.

    Autopadding is beacuse the mpeg is not properly mutiplexed. The rest of the errors are probablu due to a corrupt file.
    Try fixing the autopadding by remultiplexing it as SVCD using TMPGEnc MPEG tools.

  3. Ok iīm trying with tempgenc..what multiplex should i choose in mpeg tools? multiplex?simple multiplex? or simple de-multiplex.....whatīs the different?

  4. ive got an error in tempgenc....."illegal MPEG audio stream"
    is the file corrupt?? when i play the file in mediaplayer there is nothing wrong with it....the sound is great and picture to.

    is it possible to fix this anyway?

    MPEG's are specifically designed to play with errors. You can actually have a lot of errors and not notice too much.

    Conversions don't like errors at all. They usually stop at the error and can't proceed. There are MPEG fixit tools in the tools section, but some are pretty crude (remember you can only cut at certain points). Try some and see how it goes.

    It sounds like your file is corrupt. This can happen on P2P networks (usually it's pretty bad to get a corruption but keep the checksums the same). Alternately it can be a simple corruption in the download, or jsut a fubared file at the source.
