To get to school on time ... I've got to be starting up my car about 7 minutes after the hour to get to school on time ... traffic in town and on the freeway is varible ... depends on how many Red lights I get stuck with.
Now work is same city ... Fresno ... but it's on the outside of Fresno ... about 15 minutes less of freeway - street driving.
I basically need a solid 45 minutes of highway speed driving to get to school and work on time. Especially school ... Fresno City College is in the center of Fresno.

I'm a driving instructor. Sometimes my first student (9am start) lives 10 minutes away, sometimes 25 minutes away.
"Whenever I need to "get away,'' I just get away in my mind. I go to my imaginary spot, where the beach is perfect and the water is perfect and the weather is perfect. The only bad thing there are the flies. They're terrible!" Jack Handey -
I live about 30 miles away from my work. I currently do 12 hour shifts from 7am to 7pm. It takes me less then 35 mins each way as I miss out on the rush hour traffic.

I live 50 K's from work , it takes 50mins if i take the freeway ( $5 in tolls )
80mins if i go the long way

He he he!!!.....I to have a company vehicle...But unfortunatly it does not go faster or take corners better than a normal car. ......I supervise a multi unit food chain...My closest store is 7 minutes away and my farthest is 60 minutes away....Gets very tiring on days when I have to travel the farthest from home then around the countryside to visit up to 11 locations.....Weekends can be around 5 hours driving in one day.....

Just to get in another post...
My commute is 15 minutes by car (10 minutes if I get all green lights) and 40 minutes by bicycle. The bicycle ride is twice the distance though (I don't want become road kill)! I live and work in "Silicon Valley". I have co-workers who commute from 40 to 80 miles though hellish traffic, most of them are at their desk by 5:30AM to beat the traffic. They just can't justify (or afford) spending $600K on a 1,300 sq.ft. house that is closer to work.Usually long gone and forgotten -
I takes me 1 Hour to get to work. I then spend the next 5 days @ work! Get to go home on my weekends. which is Tuesday thru thursday.
May the force be with you. -
