  1. Can anyone help. Recently purchased a DVDR75 but am having problem actually getting a picture on the TV through Scart. Sound is coming through but no picture. Can anyone suggest the correct connections for the following.
Sky + box - TV and AUX scart sockets
    TV - EXT1 and EXT2 scart sockets
DVD - TV and AUX scart sockets

I have tried S-Video but know very little about it and got fed up trying to get it to work.

Could it possibly be a scart lead problem, even though I have tried various ones.

    Any help much appreciated.

  2. If you're getting sound, then you should be getting a picture too.

I'd double/treble check your scart leads, particulalrly how securly they are pushed in.

Mine has a tendency to move enough to drop the audio when I push the unit back into position on it's shelf.

Otherwise, I'd suspect the scart lead itself

You need to connect the DVDR75 from EXT1 straight to your TV EXT 1.
Then SKY Box into the DVDR75 on EXT2

Check that the pins on the scart leads have not been pushed back a little this can happen.

If all else fails can you just try it on a different TV. The connections on TV sockets can become loose its quite a common problem.

  4. Make sure you use the TV Scart output from the Sky Box in order to get RGB into the DVDR75 (Ext2).

Also, make sure your DVDR75 isn't set up for S-Video in on EXT2. Look at page 68/69 in the manual under User Preferences for info. (Picture Settings>Scart Video)

  5. Return this Philips and get the Panasonic E80H. I had nothing but problems with this unit. Maybe other people had better luck with there's.

    Good Luck
