    Hi,

I keep reading the tips that pop up when launching DVD Lab, and find them to be useful for the most part.

But I can't seem to find out how to do one thing I need. How does one create a DVD in DVD Lab that begins to play when inserted into a player. No menu, with no buttons, just have it play when inserted.

In the start up tips, DVD Lab mentions that this is a possibility, and a menu need not be used. But I find nothing in the manual about this type of authoring.

    Thanks in advance,
    Jeff

    You're kidding, right?

Import your file into the project. Drop your mpeg2 movie file onto the "first Play" icon. Delete the menu icon. Compile.

  3. If you are using version 1.4beta1, when the startup wizard shows, select "movie only".

if using an older version, see post above.

No, I am afraid I am not kidding. I just did what you suggested and nothing happened.

The mpeg2 file is to be dropped into the movie 1 area is it not? When it is dropped over the first play (green) icon, nothing happens. Is the "first play" icon you are referring to the green button in the connections area?

Please give me a bit more info on this someone. I have a paid job to turn in, and it came out really nice. I just don't want a menu in this one.

Yes. The mpeg2 file is to be dropped into movie 1 area. After that, just go to the "connections" window, and choose the "Draw links" (it's the first "+" sign under the "arrow" sign) and draw a line from green button to your movie 1.

As for what will happen when the movie ends?
    You have 2 choices:
    1. don't do anything. it will just stop.
    2. draw another line from the end of movie button to the movie itself. In this case, you are creating a "loop". So the movie is going to play forever.
