How can I create subtitles and then be able to turn the subtitle off when I am viewing the svcd?

Hi :
You ´ll need to use or I-Author or Philips SVCD Designer.
They are the only that can do a OGT (subtitle) encoding.
And the one full compliant with SVCD specs is Philips SVCD Designer.Some standalone and software DVD players don´t work very well with movies subtitled using I-Author (subtitles aren´t funcional).
More bad news : both softwares are hard to find , only in some "dark" web site you can reach it.Worst than , legal licensing or not so legal are difficult to do.
Try http://www.google.com to search using software´s names.
At last , Philips works only in WIndows NT ,not 9x,not 2k.

I have i-author. but when I have created a subtitle on a movie and viewing it on my standalone dvdplayer, is it possible to turn the subtitle off then?
