I'm using DVD2SVCD (v1.1.0) and Tmpgenc (2.61) to convert a DivX movie to SVCD format. I'm using two machines to share the load (one movie segment each), each with identical versions of software, and each running Win XP.
One of the machines performs the conversion fine. When I try to convert the same file on the other machine, however, I get the "resolution of the video is illegal..." error from Tmpgenc.
Aftter reading the other forum message relating to this error I installed vobsub (2.23), but this has not made any difference.
I've selected the SVCD template in DVD2SVCD (480x480/576), and have identical DVD2SVCD settings on both machines - this is why I find this so puzzling.
I have successfully used the problem machine to convert other DivX movies using the same method. The only other significant difference between the machines is that this runs XP Home Edition, and the other XP Pro.
Does anyone have any clues as to what the problem might be?
TIA for any help
