  1. Hi

I was given a movie on 3 VCD's, I ripped the mpg's using VcdGear and joined them into one large mpg. The mpg plays fine with Media Player and Windvd 5. I used TMPGEnc DVD Author to make a DVD. But when i watch the finished DVD the audio gradually goes out of sync. But the end of the movie it's roughly 1 second out. not much but really annoying !!

Any ideas anyone?? I've done this before with no problems and I haven't done anything different.

    Cheers

    Hello.
I have been trying to find a good way to put my svcds on dvd for a long time and i always run into lip sync problems.

Joining mpgs always gives me sync probs.

However....i recently tried tmpeg dvd source creator. I just extracted the mpeg with isobuster then loaded them into source creator and had it make a dvd mpeg with the highest bitrate possible.
Then took that mpeg and loaded into dvd author, made some menus and the like, then burned. So far lip sync looks good but i only did my first one yesterday so i have not thoroughly tested this method.
    Oh picture looks nice also.
    Good luck mate.

Don't glue them together. Author the 3 files seperately. You shouldn't even notice a hiccup at the chapter change points.
