    i have recently jst converted an AVI file to DVD and was wondering how i can now convert it from NTSC to PAL

  3. If can play the NTSC version don't bother. you'll have problems with sync of audio. Most players will do the conversion for you and even if your player outputs NTSC your T.V. could handle it.

    Having said that Compus ProCoder is supposed to do it correctly.

    If you still have the AVI and it's 23.976 fps and want to do a PAL DVD:
    • Extract audio. Convert to wav 48 kHz.
      Change AVI frame rate to 25 fps
      Make audio wav shorter with WavWorks. (Or GoldWave Timewarp.)
      Encode video only from 25 fps AVI to DVD m2v
      Encode audio to 2 chan AC3 or mp2
      Author m2v and ac3/mp2
