Using ffmeg.0.0.9a I converted a DIVX file to MOVIE.MP2 and MOVIE.M2V. Then combined them as MOVIE.MPG then as ffmeg was authoring it stopped respoding, just the spinning beachball for an hour or so.
Having quit ffmeg I checked what files ffmeg had produced. There was a MOVIE.MPG.DVD directory with AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS directories in it. Inside the VIDEO_TS directory was a file VTS_01_1.VOB with zero bite size.
I deleted thE MOVIE.MPG.DVD directory reboted my mac and tried to just Author my MOVIE.MPG file from within tools in ffmeg. This time ffmeg unexpecidly quit. have tried this a couple of times and each time ffmeg unexpecidly quits.
I have checked my disk permissions - all is ok.
I can play the movie.mpg file from within VLC.
Is there some way I can check that mencoder, mplayer & mpeg2enc are installed correctly and working ok?
Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Lawrence.
