I have a question: Is it possible to rip a DVD into a SVCD (2 discs) with 2 audio streams and 2 subtitles without using I-Author? How can I sincronize the subtitles in the second disc?
Thanx for your replays, Alberto

I think DVD2SVCD supports both 2 tracks and subs and you dont need iauthor.

I was of the impression that DVD2SVCD still required you to have an installation of I-Author to be able to create streams with "removable" subtitles (SVCDs support up to 4).
There's only one other program I know of that can create removable subs and that's the Philips SVCD authoring program... I don't know much about it except that you need to have NT for it to run.

have you ever tried running it under win2k with acompat.exe? i'd be interested in hearing the results
-
Yeah I would be interested in having both
but I really think you have to have I-Author ( I have to use DVD2SVCD )
Hey ! Let's be carefull out there :) -
I'm not sure if they still manufacture it or not but regardless, the copyright lasts forever. If you want it you'll have to find it somewhere else.
I have not been able to get philips svcd creator to run without crashing using acompat.exe, and I've never heard of anyone else having any luck either.
