Ok i have a digital camcorder and im using Ulead video studio and what im doing is capturing a clip and then opening that clip and pausing it at a certain location and pressing print screen and then pasting it in Photoshop but everytime i do...it shows a black screen. Any body know what im doing to cause this or know of another way to do this?

You cannot use print screen on video.
Video studio has a feature to save the frame to jpg...cant remember where it is though.
