I have been converting Divx movies to DVD NTSC using Canopus Procoder. For the most part I have had good success in authoring the converted files with DVD Lab and then burning good, working DVDs.
Occassionally I run into a problem where the converted Divx file is too large for a DVD once I author it. Actually the converted m2v and wav files are too large.
What is the best way to get around this problem? I looked for a guide but didn't see anything relevant.
Can I shrink my converted m2v and wave files? Do I have to reconvert the Divx file using a lower data rate? If so how do you know what you are going to end up with?
Any help would be appreciated.

Calculate the video bitrate before you convert.
www.dvdrhelp.com/calc
www.dvdrhelp.com/tools for more bitrate calculators.
You can also compress your wav to mpa or ac3.
