I recently bought a NEC 2500A burner and after a little playing around with no problems I went ahead and burned a bunch of data for backup. I have 9 DVD+RW disks of data and I can read all but one. All of the data shows in explorer (directories, files) and show the correct file size. The only difference I've noticed between this disk and the others is the properties for the drive when that disk is in say the file system is CDFS and the others say UDF. I burned them all with Nero 6. This was the first disk I burned but I don't think I changed anything after it. Of course this is one that has irreplacable data (family holiday pictures for the past 7 years). I've tried opening files with Nero and ISO Buster. Anyone have any ideas? I have to believe this data is retrievable since I can see the files and the sizes are right. HELP!
Thanks

Just putting it my DVD writer using explorer. I tried ISO Buster and it shows the same thing, all the directories and files are there. It seems to be a file header problem but I don't really know.

Are you right clicking the start button then hitting explore?
Try going to My Computer and goto the drive its in,then click on it -
OK, not that I don't appreciate your input, but let's take a big leap forward. I am MCSA, A+ and Network+ certified. I know how to browse files. This seems to be a problem with the file system format (type).

I can view and copy any of the files from the dvd to my hard drive right from the dvd writer. It's just that none of them work. i.e., jpg files don't open, zip files say "unexpected end of archive", all exe files have just a dos type icon. Everything looks right, I just can't open any of them. After more screwing with ISO Buster, I noticed the other disks that DO work right also list the files in the ISO, Joliet and UDF sections whereas the disk I can't use only lists files in the ISO and Joliet sections. I think I'm missing the UDF file system on that DVD for some reason. Seems I always get these screwy problems

Can anyone at least tell me where I can find more info on this subject, such as UDF file systems and such?
