Hi, i've rendered an animation in 3ds max,
i used a .tga sequence (i've been told this is the
best way to get the highest quality for dvd),
but i dont want to convert to mpeg2 yet,
beacause i want to add some other animations,
and add transitions,
What would be the best encoder to convert the tgas?
(for editing not for final output).
Thanks.

Come on....
ok i'll simplify it,
what's the best codec, for video editing,
final output is dvd.
Thanks. -
Try Sonic Vegas 4
No, it doesn't encode, it edits(what you want), and yes, you have to pay.
People will tell you edit with AVI, but if your gonna go straight to media use MPEG.
