    Umm where do I start...

    1. Is there a way to start WMP 7 maximized?

    2. I notice that WMP has a caption function built in. Would this be the same as Caption channel 1 on TV and how does this thing work (meaning if I don't have the subtitles on a VCD can I still get captioning somehow?)

    3. on this page look for this file:

    http://www.angelfire.com/pe/pipen/mv.html
    or in short http://come.to/apipe

Milk Inc - Livin a lie (live at totp) - (SVCD)
    30/7
    58mb
    Daywalk3r
I really want to be that snake...

What card would I need to get this quality? Isn't it awesome?

    4. What is in your opinion best Software player for VCDs?

    5. I am trying to make windows media player 7 work as I-ON video cd player but it wont work. Every time I try to add a dat file it only allows me to add only one file at the time to playlist. I am thinking of creating a playlist with mpg files and then sorta hack it with Word (or Word Perfect). Did anyone try this?

    6. How's your day? Nice to have a Sunday OFF.

    A!

  2. 1) Right click on the icon, choose properties, click on the shortcut tab if necessary, but under 'run' choose maximized.

    2) I think you're asking if you can turn on/off subtitles from a VCD source in WMP. The answer is no

    3) There are a LOT of capture cards out there. It depends on your source. For DV firewire, for VHS/analog pretty much any card will do, really. For best quaility you want to capture uncompressed or w/ a lostless codec like huffyuv and then encode it yourself. Hardware capture cards are only so-so (for the money that anyone posting here has anyway).

    4) One player is no better than any other, I use WMP or my DVD player.

    5) Have no idea what you're talking about? What is it you want to do?

    thanks for your replies

Wow that maximize was pretty easy.

Anyways what I am trying to do is following.

Let's suppose you have DAT file registered to be opened in windows media player (just as mpg file).

Now you would only be able to play one at the time. Then when done go to no2 then no3.

So you gotta doubleclick on each dat file individually. I have some VCDs made up of music videos so it's a pain in the butt.

Now what I was thinking is to creat a asx playlist containing script to play avseq01.dat, avseq02.dat, avseq03.dat and so on.

However every time I try to add more than one dat file WMP won't allow me.

    How to overcome this?

Or is there a tool to generate asx playlist besides wmp?

    A!
