  1. I backed up my Tommy Boy movie. I have the back up and I want to make another one. I ripped with DVD Decrypter file mode, converted with DVD2One and burned with Nero. I tried to backup the copy by using Decrypter iso read then iso write but it errored both times i tried doing it. Can i rip the files again using DVD Decrypter and burn using nero or will that not work. Thanks in advance.

If you backed up your movie you would have the original , therefore just repeat what you did to make the first back up with the original.

  3. In theory you would be correct, but the point of making a back up is to still have the movie is something goes wrong with the original. In my case my child has scratched my original and it will not play correctly. This is why i am looking for some assistance. Thank you.

You should be able to do a 'copy entire disc' in with Nero.

My sons SpiderMan movie is so scratched that it will not play at all without stuttering, skipping and eventually spitting the disk out because it's unable to read it. But I was still able to back it up perfectly and the copy was perfect. Never skips or stutters.

So if you do still have the original you may still be able to back it up and get a good copy of it.

  6. If you haven't already, try ripping with your burner, instead of your DVD-ROM drive, burners are sometimes better at reading "iffy" disks.

You could rip it again with DVD Decrypter, no harm done, but if the disk is damaged and the data corrupted, you will hit read errors, whatever way you rip.

Yeah, that should work since the encryptions is already taken out from the first rip.

Everybody I know makes the backup so they can put the original in a safe place and play the backup. Then if something goes wrong with the backup you still have the original.

  10. Thank you everyone for your help. I will try these methods. I thought I had put my original in a safe place, but I guess it was not safe enough. Thanks again.
