please help with the folowing two frustratin issues

i finally figured out how to use ifoedit / get vts sectors (with 2cool's guides as

additonal help) but it doesnt work correctly. the aspect ratio screen is correctly

deleted but the dvd boots to a STILL picture of the menu (dead). if i physically hit

the play button on the dvd player the dvd jumps to the LIVE menu and when "play movie"

is selected it goes back to the STILL dead menu. i used the MENU EXTRA button in

ifoedit not the VOB !!!!!.. i tried twice once using the vob that ifoedit corrected and

once only the bup and ifo files.

when i try simpler menu edit tasks like hidding or deleting a button to NOP more

buttons get affected than i edit. for example i will hide the "audio" and "subtitles"

buttons but then the "chapter" button gets killed too, or the "play movie" button...it

is not consistent it seem like trial and error. MORE IMPORTANTLY, when i select the

AUTO selection (beside the button command ....it is supposed to automatically execute

the button) it prompts me that a "button has been selected for deletion, do you want to

proceed" (eventhough i never selected delete button and just ticked the AUTO box) and

if i say yes the button gets deleted, if i say no the buton is unchanged and in either

case the AUTO EXECUTION of the button does NOT happen...please help

also what is the advantage of deleting a button over making it NOP?, in either case the

actual wording or artwork are still present and the button does not work.

Were you using this 2COOL guide? If so, I think you didn't do the guide properly. In step 23, did you successfully get the aspect ratio screen to play briefly prior to replacing it with a blank VOB?

What DVD are you working on?
