What card would you recomend to replace a Pinnacle Pro-one RTDV.
Canopus : DVStorm2
OR
Matrox : RT.X100 Xtreme Pro
I am looking for something that will be STABLE in a multiuser environment (windows XP on a win 2000/2003 Domain with Roaming profiles). I have 5 identical machines.

from the adobe folks
Adobe Premiere Pro works best with video cards that support Direct 3D. Video cards that don't support Direct 3D (and use GDI mode) may have performance issues that affect speed and make the video appear to have dropped frames
from me:
the software is very buggy unless you use very new stuff and approved stuff.
Here are the very few choices you have for capture cards at present

TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION...THIS STUFF IS TOO NEW BUT FOLKS SEEM TO SAY THAT THE MATROX SYSTEM IS MORE HANDSHAKED THAN canopus OFFERING -
they are both equal stable -- though i would give a slight edge to Canopus : DVStorm2 because of less driver conflict
but really - they both are about the same...."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
bj_m do you go from personal experience?
because I speak only from reading Adobe forums
my captures are done DV in another BOX with 2000 and 6.5 -
I have a Matrox RTX.100 Card and it works great with Premiere Pro and the other Video Collection apps.
Lots of great transitions and effects built in for Premiere.
