I'm trying to burn a 580MB SVCD with Nero 6. When it gets done encoding it tries to burn but gives an error saying the disc does not have enough free space? WTF? It's a 700MB Imation CD-R. What could be wrong?

    Thanks for any help.

I'm guessing that the filesize is 580MB before encoding ?

What I think is happening is that your source file is 580MB but when Nero encodes it to SVCD the file is much bigger.

It is not a good idea to use Nero to encode your SVCDs or VCDs for you. You would be better off using TMPGEnc or something like that because Nero is known to be a bit suspect.
    If in doubt, Google it.

If you had an SVCD file then nero would not need to do any encoding! Your file obviously is not SVCD, check it with avicodec to get the file info and click on "What is SVCD" in the blue section over there <-<-<-.

    Good burner, crappy encoder.
