I used DVD Shrink "full disc" backup mode, and burned with Nero.
I used a Ritek DVD-R media and an NEC ND-2500A dual mode burner.
The disks work great in my PC and my console player. But I have problems getting them to play properly on my Mac. The menus and stuff look fine on the Mac, but when I actually begin to play, the video gets jerky, stumbles, and eventually dies with a "your disc may be scratched" error. Yeah, right.
It's a little frustrating to get all that way only to have the video crap out.
Can anyone suggest either:
1) a way to modify my process to make it more palatable to the Mac
2) a different Mac DVD playing program (other than the Apple one)
Thanks much! DVD Shrink rocks!

Incidentally, I have already tried the usually great VLC Player, and it had the exact same problem.

this implies a problem on the end of the PC and its processing.
I have many many dvdshrink dvd's taht play no problem what so ever on my mac.
seems odd yours wont work but using the same process they work fine on mine -
DVDShrink to HDD then burn with Recordnow Max, works fine for me. iMac DV SE (very picky one at that)

I have had a little bit of luck with other discs since posting this. But that one certain type of tv-episode disc I was having trouble with appears to be a lost cause. I'll consider trying a different burning app, as considerable trouble has been reported with Nero. Too bad, for CDs, it's the bomb.
