OK, I cant seem to open an mpg in TMPGEnc, and I think I know why but not sure. IN environmental settings, the VFAPI plug in tab, I dont have an MPEG 2 Decoder plug in listed. I downloaded one and installed it, but it still wont show up....
When I try to open the MPG file that I captured using Videostudio, I get an error box saying Interconnect=0, when I click OK, another eror box saying it cannot open or is unsupported.

I havent installed the one you linked me yet because I havent loaded winrar yet and winzip wont let me unzip it. I will this evening and give it a shot.
At this point, Im just trying to open up an mpeg in TMPGEnc that I captured from my DV camera using Ulead Videostudio :/ -
before messing with that codec, which I've had hordes of trouble getting to work, I'd suggest you download and install the power DVD trial, which will give you a fully funtional codec you can use with any other programs. the trial software itself is junk but the codec is fine.
