  1. OK, I cant seem to open an mpg in TMPGEnc, and I think I know why but not sure. IN environmental settings, the VFAPI plug in tab, I dont have an MPEG 2 Decoder plug in listed. I downloaded one and installed it, but it still wont show up....

When I try to open the MPG file that I captured using Videostudio, I get an error box saying Interconnect=0, when I click OK, another eror box saying it cannot open or is unsupported.

You still can't open up the mpeg-2 movie even with the plugin? Are you sure you put in the TMPGEnc program directory? Also, the Ligos filter will only help with playback. Are you having trouble playing your movies too?

  5. I havent installed the one you linked me yet because I havent loaded winrar yet and winzip wont let me unzip it. I will this evening and give it a shot.

At this point, Im just trying to open up an mpeg in TMPGEnc that I captured from my DV camera using Ulead Videostudio :/

  6. before messing with that codec, which I've had hordes of trouble getting to work, I'd suggest you download and install the power DVD trial, which will give you a fully funtional codec you can use with any other programs. the trial software itself is junk but the codec is fine.
