Hello, I just bought a Mac . . . are there any programs out there for spyware detection on a Mac that are worth getting. . . ?

I've never seen macintosh spyware before. And I support them.
So the answer is not one, there is not because you don't need it. Also if whoever sold you your mac sold you Norton Antivirus 99% of the time you got ripped off. Not a major mac virus out break in ages.

Thank you Flaystus for your response . . . Is that to say that when you install a program form the net, it is more than likely that they wont be any spyware, adware installed along side of the program . . . just curious. I actually like OS X a lot, a bit of a change for a Window user for 10+ years.

What I'm saying is I've NEVER seen spyware in a program for the mac. And by the macs nature removing it should be as easy as dumping it in the trash even if there was.

SPYWARE does not exist for OSX.
Thus...... any attempts usually show up as .exe on your desktop and you can just toss them at your will.
