  1. Is my Apex DVD player dying? I tried my 1st 2 copied DVD's in my computer and a portable DVD player and they were both freezing and skipping so I tried in in my Apex 600 and it was working perfectly. I was SO happy until 10 minutes in the picture started to blink. I took the DVD+RW out and even turned off the player. Its still blinking on the blue screen. I tried a normal DVD and it still blinks. I hit the PAL button and it stopped but its black and white now. Then after a few minutes it stopped blinking. Anyone have any ideas?

  2. What did it do after it stopped blinkng? If you put a NTSC (USA) disc in the player and then change it to PAL it will show black and white colors.

There should be a reset button on the DVD player somewhere. If not you'll have to go to the Apex website and find the service menu command on the controller. Mine (Hitachi) is Enter+play+next for 10 seconds Then there was a system restore to default factory setting.

  3. I would un-plug the player for a good hour then try it again. As for the skipping DVDR my guess would be bad media.

  4. MAN DO I FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT! It was the Vertical hold on the TV lol. GO ahead and laugh. I just never had that happen where it would just go in and out like that. If it did it constantly i could see it, but it would be on and off and it first happened with the DVD player on. Then i noticed it was like that on cable tv so i thought ok the tv is dead lol. So all is fixed now. Thanks for the replies I really appreciate it
