Hi there,
I have a problem with my DVD backups, every time I convert with TMPGEnc avi with vobsub into dvd MPEG 2. The picture keeps on jumping every few frames Im able to watch it fully but is quite bad for the eye when the picture flics.
Thats the settings I use for TMPGEnc DVD PAL (MPEG-2 720x576 25fps CBR 5413kbps, Layer-2 48000Hz 384kbps)
Video source type: Interlace
Field order: Bottom field first
Source aspect ratio: 1:1 VGA
I have a NEC 2500 writer and Verbatim 4X media which writes at 8x on NEC.
Does anyone have some ideas to this problem of mine.?
Thx a lot

Did you try different media, or slowing down your burn speed?

Yeh I have tryed 3 types of media, and results are similliar part from one where each burned DVD would crash through the movie. I do most of the burns at 4x.

Why are you converting? Are the files too big?
Is your frame rate right? Perhaps the source is progressive scan?"There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon." -- Raoul Duke -
Im converting avi to MPEG2 so that I can have subtitles in my movie. How do I check if the frame rate is right.?
