  1. I've got a strange one. My dvd player won't let me put in multiple region codes so I have to convert everything to NTSC. I'm trying to convert a PAL format. The audio is perfect before but badly out of sync after converting. I tried Virtualdub but got a 'The Requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check that the sampling rate and the channel count match those of the requested format." I have no idea what this means or what to do next. Can anyone help??

Region codes have nothing to do with PAL and NTSC video formats. Region coding is used in commercial DVD's so that discs from one region won't play in another region, the studios do that for for marketing purposes.

Are you following an NTSC to PAL conversion guide? You need to extract your audio to wav and then adjust the audio duration to match the new video frame rate. Goldwave can do that, look for a guide. Here's some.
