  1. I was able to snag a Cendyne CDICD00225 on E-Bay for around $60. From what I found doing a forum search, Cendyne must have done a lot of OEM for the name brands, Pioneer, NEC, etc. The Cendyne web ste is joke, so I was hoping someone out there might give a little dope on this critter. I bought a Cendyne 52x CD-RW and it's doing just fine after a couple hundred CD-R burns.

  2. I'd stay away from cendyne. They went out of business from what I understand and are not supporting any of there products.

    The Cendyne model you have is actually an NEC if I'm getting my information correctly. Some of their previous models were Pioneer's. I don't think they ever made their own drives. And, yes, Cendyne has filed for bankrupcy and many of their rebates went unfulfilled - so don't expect any help from them.
