How you make two clips blend together by the end of the first clip and the start of the second one. So it looks smooth. Almost toning

Me personally I use AVISynth.
AVISource("clip1.avi").FadeOut(15)+AVISource("clip 2.avi").FadeIn(15)
etc, etc, etc.

It doesn't. At least not on my system. Finfarin, try dropping your 2 clips into the storyboard mode, then click on the little effect place card between your clips. On the upper right corner, move the slider to "FX" and try the dissolve effect by dragging it to the effect place card between your clips. Hit play to preview. Try the other transitions too, you might find one you like more. Hope this helps.
