  2. you could use the memory card exploit..

    basically, you program the MCE to whatever psx game you want to boot up with.. you can use cogswap, cdloader or swap magic elf.. once you've done that;

    insert psx cd w/ memory card containing exploit

    it will bring up either CS, CDL or SM, you put in your backkup and boot it.

    the psx disc will act as the boot disc, so if you screw it up, no big deal, go buy a cheapass used psx game for $1..

    you can get further information on how to do this @ www.ps2ownz.com

    as far as backing up the gameshark disc, you cant.. you could copy it, but it wouldnt boot up..

    you said you had a modchip, i'm guessing it a no solder modchip since you're having to use a swap trick..

    If you get scratches on your disks a disk doctor does wonders at making them work again

  4. Yeah, you can backup but I forgot what program to use. Never could do it myself but I know it can be done cause I have seen an ISO that works.

    You can use cloncd if your drive supports it and it takes a very long time but you cant use the copy to boot up an original game though these backups are mainly used for people that have modchips that want to use a gameshark
