i have a ps2 with a mod chip fitted .
i use disk swap trick action replay 2.
is there any way to back up the boot disk.
ive gone though loads off them i have about 3 cards now any help will do![]()

you could use the memory card exploit..
basically, you program the MCE to whatever psx game you want to boot up with.. you can use cogswap, cdloader or swap magic elf.. once you've done that;
insert psx cd w/ memory card containing exploit
it will bring up either CS, CDL or SM, you put in your backkup and boot it.
the psx disc will act as the boot disc, so if you screw it up, no big deal, go buy a cheapass used psx game for $1..

as far as backing up the gameshark disc, you cant.. you could copy it, but it wouldnt boot up..
you said you had a modchip, i'm guessing it a no solder modchip since you're having to use a swap trick.. -

Yeah, you can backup but I forgot what program to use. Never could do it myself but I know it can be done cause I have seen an ISO that works.
