  1. Hi,

I am trying to put as many as possible TV-rips of my favourite series (CSI, downloaded as mpg files) on a DVD and am having ALLWAYS sync problems (gradually audio is faster then video - in the end the difference is about 2 secs). I have tried several different mpg sources, tried all variants of "re-syncing", but no luck. I have tried to suspect that the problem is somewhere in my system (that for instance 44100 Hz will not be recognized as 44100 but rather as 44030 Hz). Is something like this possible?

Has anybody succeeded to put TV-rips on DVD without problems?

Have read all "sure" systems on re-syncing, but none of them worked for me.

    What am I doing wrong?
(BTW, my DVD player does not support ISO files).

    Regards,

    Jadran

  2. gradual sync loss can be a tough one to fix if you are capturing via a card that uses separate clocks for video and audio. Yoir example of slight variation in hz is an indicator of such.
Some capturing apps such as Iuvcr try to get around such by taking short subsamples of the streams to neutralize the inherent drift. Sometimes they work, sometimes not - depending on particular hw/sw environment thay are running in.

If you haven't, visit lordsmurf.com and see what his site has on fixing sync.

Another route ($) is a device like the advc-100 which features locked a/v before signal gets in your computer.

Lastly, try to cap your source audio at 48000 hz for DVD - converting later from 44.1 to 48 just allows another variable to possibly sneak in.

Hopefully, another poster can offer more/better solutions..

    Good luck.

  3. I would try what rcb suggested.
you could try to demux the audio from the mpg file and resample at 48000 mhz for dvd.
