    I am using a ATI AIW VE PCI card and am running ATI MMC 8.1. I have tried lord smurf's ATI driver hack, but not luck. I only want to backup my daughters VHS movies to DVD. Has anyone successfully done what I want to do?

    When I had a 7500 AIW VE, the MV hacks on LS' site worked to allow MMC 8.1 to capture VHS tapes with MV if I used the Catalyst 2.x drivers. But I still had problems with alternating bright/dark picture on some tapes.

    I've got a Sima Color Coorector on order now to see if that helps with the alternating bright/dark picture on those tapes that still have a problem.
