I am thinking of buying a LT XP Expert that I would use with my dishnetwork feed. This would mean that if I want to record or timeshift I would not use the tuner, but rather the S-Video input.
Does the hardware and software support this feature on the S-Video input, or does timeshifting only work on the tuner channels?
ADDED:
Maybe there is a better solution than what I am looking at.
Basically I have Dishnetwork at home and I wanted to be able to record shows. I was going to buy a Shuttle SK41G MiniPC and install a Leadtek Expert TV tuner card and use it's capture capability and software to do exactly that. BUT, maybe there is a better way of doing this instead of using a TV capture card, since I have no use for the actual tuner.
Any suggestions would be really nice. I am planning on networking the SK41G with my main PC and add two Hauppauge MediaMVP's later to make the recordings available all over the house.
Thanks,
Anosis
