This is my first post, I am a newbie. I have an Asus V9280 VideoSuite graphics card, a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 audio card, an AMD Athlon 1.67GHZ with 256 MB Ram and 160GB HDD and operating XP pro. I would not normally ask for help as I try to work things out and read the posts thoroughly looking for solutions but I am giving a seminar and am running out of time. I am putting together some technical video with other information into a PowerPoint presentation and want to burn it to a CD for the seminar. The videos are VHS, macrovision protected, they are not available on DVD and I own the videos. First question, I have been able to capture from the tapes by changing my WDM driver to version 1.08 as suggested but I still am getting quite a bit of jiggle and edge bleed in some parts of the picture is there something I can do to fix this other than a black box solution (I don't have enough time to order this and get it back in time)
Next question, I have been trying to capture with different programs, I can capture video and sound with Roxio Easy CD and DVD creator 6 but then I can't compress it, I haven't found a way to do it within the program and I can't get DVDshrink to read the saved files or finished DVD's. I even tried setting up a virtual DVD drive system and I can play the finished output on Windows media player and AsusDVDXp but I get the following errors from DVDshrink When I try to read a DVD disk -"DVDshrink encountered an error and cannot continue. Invalid DVD navigation structure" When I try to read the file it can’t see it. When I capture with Virtual VCR I get no sound. I would appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks
