i captured an avi file from my aiw tv tuner to encode to dvd to be played in a standalone
the raw file is of course interlaced and after opening it in tmpgenc it labeled it as 'top field first'...i left every other setting on interlaced (video source type, encode mode) but when it was done encoding i no longer saw the jagged interlace lines...
i was able try encoding this same file in canopus procoder and it labeled the video as 'lower/bottom field first'....after encoding the video remains interlaced...also i tried several combinations of field order for input and output but the video remains interlaced
what is the difference between the 2 output files? i burned the tmpgenc encoded video to dvd and it looks normal on my tv
