  1. Hi there

On DVD X Copy Platinum, I'm puzzled on where I can decide which features I want to rip.

For example, if Im copying a DVD that needs compressing, is there an option, where I can choose to, let's say, disregard the audio commentary for instance, so more quality can go into the picture and sound? And if so, where is it?

    Thanx very much.

Why not just use DVDShrink? It's free, idiot proof and works perfectly. If you read the comments about DVD X Copy Platinum, it seems very few have anything good to say about it.

  5. AGAIN, THANX 4 THE OPINION, BUT CAN SOME PERSON WITH JUST AN OUNCE OF INTELLIGENCE ANSWER MY INITIAL QUESTION!

CAN YOU ON DVD X COPY PLATINUM, DEDUCT CERTAIN FEATURES, BEFORE YOU RIP THE DVD, SO MORE QUALITY GOES INTO THE PICTURE AND SOUND?

No, I don't believe you can which is one of the reasons DVD X Copy sucks. You can however select the degree of compression for each title so that you can maximize compression on less important material.

This is very helpful. Thanx very much

Just one final question 4 u.

On STEP 5, part 2, it says that you can alter the compression gauge thing, to give the movie more quality, than the extras, well, is it the higher you set the gauge, the better the picture, or vice versa?

p.s. Also, on the same section, what does that tickbox labelled Lock Titleset mean? (Beneath the arrow named 2.)
