I haven't seen Rome must die...

but it is possible to do anything. Motion menu's are just video files when authored into a DVD they are the VTS_01_0.VOB file

You will need a video editing software that will do slow motion and you will need to know what format your motion backgrounds are in. Most are mpg (I think).

To make it...make the video file at normal speed. I use Pinnacle Studio 8. I keep the video DV-AVI until I render my final file that I am going to use as my background it maintains quality. So once the video is made, I decide if I want the whole thing to be slow mo or just parts of it. If it is parts of it then I slice the video up and slow mo the parts I want slowed...you get it. Once done, I just render out to MPEG-2 format.

The trick is to get the ending of the motion menu to take you back to the beginning of the motion menu smoothly, so that when it loops you don't see a glitch or a jump in the video. The difference between looking great (professional) and looking like crap(like a 2 year old with a dull crayon did it) isn't much.

I just said I use Pinnacle studio 8, I also use Adobe Premiere and After Effects...Studio 8 is very buggy...basically you just need a video editing software.

  5. Just create clip that you want (you can apply "slow motion" filter in Pinnacle Studio) and use this guide.
