Hello I have a bunch of .wmv files on my computer that I want to burn on a CD and watch on my dvd player. I have made VCDs before but I cant find a program that will convert .wmv files into .mpg files or anything that will work on my dvd player.
I have tried TMPGEnc and I tell it to make a "MPG" file when its finished I right click on the video and go to properties and it says its a "mpeg" file...mpeg dont work on dvd players only mpg right?
Im so confuised...ALL I WANT TO DO IS burn some .wmv files on a cd so I can watch them on my dvd player on my TV.
Thanks a lot!!!!

"MPG" and "MPEG" are pretty much one in the same. What kind of mpeg did you create in TMPGEnc? VCD, SVCD, or other? Sounds like all you need to do is author the appropriate type of disc. Half the work is done already!

Not exactly. It depends on what encoding settings you used. If you used the TMPGEnc VCD template you should be fine though. All you would have to do at that point is burn with Nero by opening a VCD compilation and dropping your file in it.
