  1. Hello

I have a dual pentium processor dell workstation with windows 2000 Professional installed. I am having problems burning dvds with Nero.

I also have a Pinnacle DC2000 capture board installed

DVDs burn fine when used with Pinnacle DVD Impression Pro

Sometimes Nero works--sometimes Nero does not. When nero never indicates a failure--the discs just don't play to the end and the burn looks blurry. This happens with all media used.

Does anyone know of a burning software that will work with dual processors?

    Thank you

  2. That is strange. What version of nero?
I run Hyperthreading with nero 6.3.0.3 without any problems. As far as I know, nero cannot tell the difference between a true dual processor and a hyperthreading system.

If a program is not dual processor compatible, it will just utilize one processor. So any program should work.

  3. I did run a different version of nero with lots of problems though. Buffer underruns, DVD didn't play, stuttering, but that was all fixed with an upgrade to the current version.

So your problem might be a crappy version of nero, and not the fact that you computer is a dual processor.

  4. Hello

    Thank you for the reply.

The version of nero is 5.5.9.16--this came bundled with my pioneer dvdr 105.

I will look into the newer nero--I will be on the lookout for a sale.

    Thanks again.
